Hurricane Watch/Warnings
Prior to Departure:
• If an official watch or warning (Category 1 or higher) is issued by the relevant local government or the National Hurricane Centre/ Tropical Prediction Centre and if theHurricane is forecast to affect a destination within the Watch or Warning area during the passengers scheduled holiday or • If a hurricane has passed through the destination within one week prior to departure:
We will offer the following options:
Change Departure Dates:
• The new date must be for the same flight, hotel & duration but for another week.
(travel must be completed by Dec. 8/10 (2 week holiday) and Dec. 15/10 (one week holiday). • The passenger must pay the price difference at system rate if higher.
• There will be no refund if the cost is lower.
Change Destinations: • The new destination must be another Sunquest destination not affected by a hurricane. • Departure must be within four weeks of the original departure date. • Passenger must pay the price difference at system rate if higher.
• There will be no refund if the cost is lower.
Continue with existing travel arrangements: (as long as Sunquest is still operating) • No compensation or refund if this option is taken.
If the flight is not operating within 24 hours of original departure time: • Full refund (excluding travel insurance)
Hurricane while in Destination:
• If passengers are repatriated or evacuated either due to an impending hurricane or due to conditions following a hurricane. • If passengers choose to make their own way home following a hurricane watch or warning(Cat 1 or higher) or after a hurricane has passed.
We will offer the following: Future travel credit: • Credit is valid for one year for the value of the unused accommodation portion of the holiday • Does not include airfare or incidental expenses. • Does not apply to air only passengers.
Sunquest Hurricane Policy is valid for all Mexico and Caribbean departures between June 1 & Nov. 30, 2010. This policy is subject to change or withdrawal at any time. This policy is subject to change or withdrawal at any time.
